Enterprise helps build affordable housing for low-income Americans by providing financing and expertise to community and housing developers. Every 80 minutes, someone moves into a house we helped create. Enterprise Community Partners is a national nonprofit that provides loans, grants and information resources. Our for-profit subsidiary, Enterprise Community Investment, offers tax credit financing and asset management services. Enterprise Urges Congress to Help Stabilize our Communities
As Congress and the Bush Administration craft a plan to stabilize the financial markets, Enterprise joined with other housing-related organizations to urge Congress to include language in the proposed Treasury finance legislation that will help keep families in their homes and facilitate community stabilization through the transfer of vacant and real estate-owned properties to capable state and local entities and qualified nonprofits. Read the letter submitted to Congress on September 26.

L.A. Celebrates
$100 Million Fund

The Enterprise office in Los Angeles held the first annual Southland Social Sept. 18 in Hollywood. The event marked the launch of the New Generation Fund, a unique financial resource that provides $100 million for the acquisition and predevelopment of affordable housing in Los Angeles. Nearly 200 Enterprise friends and supporters joined Enterprise Community Partners President and CEO Doris Koo and Southern California Office Director Jeff Schaffer to honor Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Citi Community Capital for their vision and participation in the fund.
